New Case Lid Organizers for your Show Case

A few weeks ago I posted this photo of my new Case Lid Organizer on Facebook. A lot of magicians were asking me about it so I thought it might make an interesting topic for a post.

No, it isn’t a DIY project that I made myself, and no, it didn’t come with the case. It’s actually a case accessory that’s available online. The Lid Organizer in the photo above is called the Explorer Cases PANEXPL48 Lid Panel for the 4820 Case (Black). Explorer Case offers a few different lid organizers, but if you look online you’ll find pages and pages of various lid organizers from other companies as well.

Below is a photo of a Pelican lid organizer that I used in my main case for years. These lid organizers are designed to be installed into a Pelican case, but I prefer to use a different style of case so I installed the organizer into my case with Velcro. This one was the right size to fit into a standard silver briefcase – the same kind that every magician uses.

Inside of my sound equipment case I use this organizer. To protect all of the sound equipment I also purchased a foam set that has the “pick n’ pluck” foam.

As you can see there are many different types of lid organizers available online so you should be able to find one the right size to fit your case. They also come in different configurations to suit your needs.

If you didn’t know that there were custom lid organizers available online, I hope you found this tip useful! Let me know in the comments below if you decide to get one for yourself.
